Mainly Slow Organ Music: Music of Bin David Li

Huw Morgan (organ, Renaissance flute) and Bin David Li (organ, xun) will present two new works written especially for Huw Morgan’s Mainly Slow Organ Music series.

Laments Descend, for organ and a flute of any kind, will be performed twice: first with Renaissance flute, then with the xun, an ancient Chinese vessel flute.

Ode to Confucius is a long-duration work inspired by 雅乐yayue, the ritual court-music tradition dating back to the time of Confucius.
